We’re thrilled to let you know that we are launching a new-look Online Network platform that will be easier-to-navigate and enhance your experience with us, while still allowing you to connect with others going through a similar breast cancer experience.

So that our team are able to migrate your information over to the improved platform, there will be an Online Network pause from 19-27 March, 2025. During this time you will still be able to access the Online Network however in READ ONLY format, which means you can continue to view everything but you will not be able to start a discussion or comment on a post.

After 27 March, we’re excited to welcome you to experience the refreshed Online Network. We’ll be in touch with further guidance on how to login soon!

We’re very aware how important our Online Network community is, and we apologise for the inconvenience of this disruption. If you need information or support during this pause, please reach out to BCNA's free and confidential Helpline on1800 500 258.

  • @emmat   You are just as deserving of councelling and support as anyone else.Just as someone often feels 'not in the club'  when they are 'only' stage 1.Nope. Everyone needs aftercare and lots. But we ar ethe captians of our boat and have to drive it. Just because you're a nurse does not remove any of the shock of cancer diagnosis and treatments. There is no 'lesser'. Please do seek councelling, please do go to your follow up appointments, seek a rehab program and participate , support group, super important to get into a  lymphoedema screening & prevention program now, physio therapy, look good feel better, and more. Its really really important that you do. It will speed up your healing and improve your long term health by ealry intervention. You would rouse at a patient for not doing thier after care- so now its time to follow through. You are smart. You are worthy . You are important .You are not alone.  There must also be face to face support groups in Qld.i know there is a sunshine coast one, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100022283514942, Blush Cancer Care is toowoomba, Mater Chicks in Pink ?,... if your near one of the Tracey G Lingerie stores - they would proabably know, ask your local breast care nurse- you can find them on the McGrath website by postcode.

I saw Mez request to move Emma post, but i posted here , hoping she will see it before it  goes offline on 19th -27th march.

Could you please move @emmat to her own post so that others could offer support

  • Hi all

i am 6 months post bilateral mastectomies and still having a few issues.  Haven’t been to follow up appointments because I am a nurse and hate being in the patient side.  Haven’t been to also avoided all counselling as I feel there are women far worse off than me but would be good to chat to women who have been through the same.  emma
