Hello Ladies

After organizing our Melbourne ladies lunch in April , we thought we may have a weekend gathering to enable interstate ladies to come & meet us all.

At this stage the date is the weekend of 19th October  in Melbourne .

I am more than happy to co-ordinate & organize ,but will need input from those wishing to attend .

Please give me you thoughts on …...
1. Are you coming ? - level of commitment & where you're coming from ?

2. Accommodation - City ? country ? Find you own accom ? Price you want to pay? Happy to stay in someone's home ?Apartments, hotels , Airbnbs ?

3.. Activities - Lunches, dinners , picnics , movies, theatre, winery tours or anything else you'd like to do .

This can go ahead with only a few people or a lot , but I will need to know ASAP of numbers especially if booking accom for everyone .

Looking forward to your thoughts & meeting everyone

Cheers

I’ll be there. I am happy to go with the majority on accommodation. Happy to pay up front as you will require this to make any bookings. Just so long as I have somewhere to nap I am happy. Whilst I love the theatre it isn’t indusive (not sure if that is the right word) to socialising.

That date’s the last weekend of the Melbourne Art Festival and the last time the Festival will be held in October, as it moves to be a winter festival - hooray - in 2020. Program is out on July 16. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ll check for anything interesting.

Definitely coming. Happy to go with the flow regarding accomodation and activities. As to the cost - isn't that is what credit cards are for?

Like @Blossom1961 just need somewhere to "have a camp" after lunch (Kimberley lingo for a sleep/ rest/ nap).

    Melbourne Art Festival sounds wonderful.

Impossible for me to say yay or nay at this stage. I will if I can and would stay where ever.
I did suggest earlier on that BCNA may be able to find an accommodation venue that would let us piggy back on their corporate rates for anyone travelling interstate. These things are a 'thing' as I know from past experience.

I would absolutely love to but I suspect it won't be possible.  Hard to know for sure at the moment.

I’ll bring a coffee machine. Not worth talking to me in the morning otherwise. My family say I am addicted. I say leave me and my coffee alone and no one gets hurt.

    @Blossom1961
I'll join you, we can be "leave me alone" together until after that first cup of coffee then all's well with the world (sort of).

Hi @tigerbeth I'm happy to be part of it. Won't need anywhere to stay as already Melbourne based (northern suburbs) but we have a spare bed should any country/interstate person should want it. First in best dressed! Close to the station too. Thanks Beth!

Hmm, I am working my way through the Melbourne Festival program. A mentalist in the Spiegeltent could be fun but as tickets start at $59, I need some guidance? There will be a free program in the Spiegeltent also, but getting us all in for anything on spec could be hard. If anyone else has looked at the program, let me know if there is anything that interests you. Regards

Not sure where in Australia we will be living or if we will be homeless, but I plan on being there!

The Spiegeltent has free live music from 9:30 pm on Saturdays if anyone will still be awake! And TeamLab is a free exhibition open 1-5 on the Saturday.

I’m keen for a catch-up not sure I can do the whole weekend as it is right before year 12 exams and I’m currently riding the pair of them to the finish now but I could escape for lunch/dinner/something
