Hello everyone

I held a 'Girls Night In' last Saturday Night, and just wanted to share the fabulous night that we all had.  I have an amazing group of girl friends who drew up a cooking roster and car pool roster (to take my son to school) and trips to Adelaide for specialist appointments after my bilateral mastecomy and reconstruction in April this year.  My partner is a farmer and unfortunately was sowing his crops during alot of my recovery time and I don't know how I would have managed if it was not for the amazing love and support from my dear girlfriends.  I have been wanting to show my appreciation in some way, so I decided to hold a 'Girls night in' for them all. I organised the venue and dinner (and a few silly games for a laugh) and the girls all made a small donation.  So over a few glasses of bubbles (not too many!! lol!) and a simple dinner we had lots of laughs and raised a few dollars for cancer research.  It was a wonderful opportunity to thank them all for their love and support and it was lots of fun.......Can highly recommend it!!!

Liz

    Hi Merylee

Well I was looking for games  for the girls to participate in to enable them to 'win' the vouchers that came with the 'Girls Night in Pack'. Originally I was going to ask them questions from the Battle of the Sexes game.  I also took along Singstar although we didn't end up singing in the end.  My dear friend let me use her family's beach shack (which is right on the beachfront) for the venue.  The weather was fabulous that day. When I was packing the car up that day I stumbled across some water balloons that I had put aside for the boys this summer, and I chucked them in.  We ended up doing relay races on the beach with the water balloons (and as the night went on, threw them at each other)  It was hysterical. Alot of the girls were really competitive which added to the fun of it .  Can't remember laughing so much. We did overfill alot of the balloons and they kept bursting which just added to it all. Would have been a sight to see ....all these grown women doing water balloon races on the beach!!  It was so great, everyone really got into it and it was so much fun.   x
