Hi @allyjay I saw this come up on my facebook feed from Australian Working Dogs Rescue and wondered whether you might be feeling like something different - knitting coats for rescue dogs. I can't remember if you're a dog person, or not.

Hi there @Sister , thanks for the heads up. Yes I've knitted literally dozens of dog coats for local DCH animal charities in my area. I also crochet small blankets for cats. The idea is that a mother cat with kittens with one of their foster carers gets as many blankets as she has kittens and placed in with her and her bubs, As each kitten in then homed, one of the blankets with the smell of the mother and siblings goes to the new home with it. I've also knitted coats for greyhound rescue organisations.

The cat blankets are the sweetest thing - I've never heard of that but how comforting that must be for each kitten. I should have know you'd have been on top of anything knitting!0
