Mothers' Day Classic
This will be my 8th year walking in this event at Parramatta. Does anyone else on the forum participate? It is a great day. This year I will be out with my green, teal and pink ribbons. "Don't ignore Stage 4!"

- dehMemberAwesome MDC in Port Macquarie, too. So many people supporting each other and their community.
- poodlejulesMemberIt was a great day in Melbourne for the Mother's Day Classic. I had a wonderful day with my kids. So many people in a sea of pink, walking, running , remembering their mum's, wives, sisters and friends. And of course it couldn't have happened without the wonderful volunteers. This one was special !
- MoiraCMemberFab news @Patti J - it was cold and wet and chaotic in Sydney and I found the ra ra 'come on guys' from the commentators utterly naff. Great to see so many people out but I felt very disconnected. Did my 4km and we came home. Parr sounds much more fun.
- EastmumMemberThat’s awesome @"Patti J" I’m hoping to do my first Mother’s Day Classic next year. In the meantime, I wanted to share this cute cartoon. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mummas out there!
- Patti_JMemberIt was bitterly cold at Parramatta Park for this event.
For the first time ever people who had had breast cancer or who have breast cancer were in a special group in front of all the other walkers. I impressed myself. The only people finishing in front of me, walking 4km., were children. Pretty good for someone with metastatic breast cancer!
My husband won his age division in the 8km. run. All in all a great day! - Patti_JMemberIt should be lovely. Enjoy it. We have never done the one around the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Parking is always a problem. Parramatta is much more convenient.
- MoiraCMemberHeading off to the Sydney one this year for the first year
- iserbrownMemberThe Tan track is a beautiful track.............many years ago when me and others here were doing fun runs the Tan Track was quite often part of it

- kmakmMemberHow funny @Joannie, I worked at Channel 7 in the 90s and it was Coventry St I walked up to get to the Tan! It's been called that for a very long time... must have been a fabulous mushroom! ;)
