Onto the next part of the journey, reconstruction in 2009 (bilateral TRAM flap - pedicled), fun!!!
I received the phone call from the hospital, "We're ready to rock and roll", a week's notice... then to be put back to the end of Feb, phew!!
Organised my work schedule with my boss as I would have to take 4 weeks off work (including surgery and hospital stay)..
The day of surgery loomed, an early start for me, one of my good friends offered to wait with me in the waiting room until I was called in...
8am rolls around and they are ready to prep me for surgery..
