Our local support group is currently organising a MFoW in our local shopping arcade.
The arcade has fountains (once had water/plants, now has none) and is l shaped. We are hoping to fill the fountains with pink ladies and all things pink on a Saturday morning and raise awareness of the need to be checked for breast cancer, the role BCNA plays in assisting us after diagnosis and also promote our newly formed support group, not to mention a bit of fundraising.

The Toowoomba Breast Cancer Support Network have decided to take this years mini field of women in the 2010 Toowoomba Carnival of flowers parade. We have designed a float decorated with gigantic pink ladies & our mini field of women. We are glamming up in plenty of pink and walking along side our float. It is a great way for us to reach out to the public to promote breast cancer awareness. We expect up to 10 000 people to line the streets for the parade, now in it's 61st year to be held on the 18th of September.
(If your town has a major event like this try & get involved, as it is a great way to share exposure.)

Terrific idea, Deb! We have an annual Harvest Festival, also with a street parade, so I will definitely put this one down in our calendar.
Thank you for sharing your idea - I hope our groups have the opportunity to meet, one day.
