Broadcast Messages

Hi Cossette,

Just thought if this question as I sent one out last night. 

Will group leaders still be able to send broadcast messages to members of their group as we don now?

    Great question, Paula.

    In the new platform, this function is called Announcements.

    Group Leaders can make an Announcement and they sit at the top of the Discussions. This is a great way to highlight information.

    There are two ways to make them.

    1. You can click on New Announcement and type as normal.
    2. You can turn a Discussion into an Announcement. This is really nice because it means you won't have to send a message saying someone has posted something; you can announce the actual post.

    And Group Leaders can also un-announce a post, which sends it down to the regular Discussions area.

    Members can opt whether to receive an email notification, a pop-up, or neither.
