Weekend Escape
Day 18 - after round three
Packed the family and dog into the car...my daughter, who has come down from the central coast, my son, Rusty, hubby and me.... I can't even remember the last time we all went away together...
Arrived safely at our destination. The only downside is Daylight Savings has ended, so it was dark at 5:30pm.. ?? nothing much has changed in this town, a few new houses and buildings but still has that sleepy, relaxed vibe...
Rusty doesn't quite understand what's going on. He doesn't have free reign in this house... 'Where's my doggie door?'
We were lucky to get this cabin, everything is pretty much booked due to the school holidays. It's quiet and only a short walk to shops etc. it's the last cabin in the complex but still a stones throw to the river...
We were greeted by the local kangaroos and woken by the chattering of cheeky lorikeets and magpies . But the local Rooster decided it was HIS job to wake everyone up and protested loudly at about 6am. No need for an alarm clock here!
The sounds of nature, way better than semi trailers hurtling down a main road and the early morning whir of city life.
This is the earliest I've woken since I started treatment... It's quiet and a bit cook this morning but I'm enjoying sitting and sipping my Earl Grey tea....
Don't know what today will bring, but the weather looks great and I'm feeling good ??
Happy Saturday!
