... and a New Year begins ....
Hi everyone
Wishing all a Happy New Year - may it bring you better health and much happiness.
As my year began I watched the triplets leave home for the first time - but they flew back to roost (as you can see by the first picture). It is a bit blurry as the wind was strong and the branches moving !
I went inside to find one of my cats had found a new 'cool' spot on a hot day.
I am sure these photos will bring a smile to the faces of other nature lovers.

Oh Summer, both these photos brought a smile. The triplets are beautiful.
The only thing missing for the cat is a canary feather, looking so pleased with him/herself. Great spot though, just needs some cool water to complete it.
Best wishes for a safe & healthy 2016

Hi Lyn
I am glad the photos gave you a smile.
Um - feather ? Our two cats are 'inside' cats in that they have three outdoor homes or harnesses unless they are roaming in the house. We love the birdlife too much to take any chances. We have floor to ceiling windows all around so they have ample time to one their skills without actually catching anything. Millie was still quite pleased with herself, we think.
Hoping you also have a safe and healthy year ahead.
Hugs Summer :-)

Hi Tracey
I am so glad that you get some happiness from the pictures. I know we all have some really bad moments/days so I do try to put something on my posts to give others a different focus for a moment or two.
Do you reckon the Willy Wagtails will nest there for a third time this season ? We hope so - and will let you know.
They are sooo cute - amazing that they are 2 weeks old today.
Have a safe and happy year ahead.
Hugs Summer :-)

I reckon that they'll come back, as it's a safe place for them. Aren't they so lovely to watch growing up.
We have birds that come back too, and I look forward to it every year. Cuddles ????
