Excited

Back in August I was diagnosed with BC and had surgery to remove the lump and lymph nodes, I was then given the all clear but had to do six rounds of chemo and in Feb need to do Radio.  Well excitedly I did my last chemo yesterday.  It is all a bit nerve wracking how do I know we have it all ? I am told no tests are required just have to go back to my Oncologist end of March and Breast Surgeon in June  I will miss the Oncology team at Peninsula Private who are amazing bunch of individuals - what a tough and intense job they have.  This cancer journey has been a difficult one with lots of up and downs and these staff always brought me back on track and helped me have a positive outlook.

Does anyone know how long til the eyebrows and eyelashes start growing back ?  Hair as well - I notice white ends popping up !!

    Hi Fiona, I finished my chemo in the middle of July 2015. All my hair has now returned, except for my underarms, that's a bonus. My eyebrows and eyelashes were back by the beginning of December, so it takes a little while. The hair on my head is dark with a bit of a kick to it and is now to number 3-4 clipper length. 

    Hoping that your rads go well in February, Trace ????????

    Hi Fiona. My last chemo was 6/10/15. I had a little fuzz on my head about 6-8 weeks later. Around 8-9 weeks out I suddenly realised that I had some eyelashes, & my eyebrows were returning. All slowly getting longer, but still don't go out without  a head cover of some sort.

    i've done 16 of 30 rt sessions. The end is in sight ????.

    Hi Fiona,

    I am 6 weeks out from my last chemo and still waiting with baited breath for my eye lashes and eye brows to return.  

    There seems to be little fine ones that have showed up although sparse.

    I have started radio and am 12 sessions in out of 28.

    Then surgery in March for mastectomy and immediate recon.

    Hoping to start growing some hair now for 2016 :)
