Hi all,

I completed 25 radiation treatments about 8 months ago.

I had lumpectomy for high grade 2cm dcis followed  by the rads and no further treatment.

Had a fair bit of skin breakdown but healed very quickly but i am now concerned about how HOT my treated breast has become over the last few days.

Anyone else have a very HOT booby months after treatment?

Cheers

My boob was hot for months and took over 2 years to recover it still is not the same 3 years now it's sore to touch I remember my radio onco said well we do cook your boob from the inside out. I suffered from damage to the front chest muscle, but you do what you have to. Regards adean

Thank you for your reply. I did have the hot boob during and after treatment but then it went away, so i guess i am shocked that it has come back.

It could be worth taking your temperature to see if it is up?  Sometimes the heat can be from an infection which can start up months after radiation/treatment.  I had one at the op site almost a year later, detected by the heat in the area plus redness.  It was quickly resolved with antibiotics.  Could be worth checking with your medical team.  All the best.  xx  Michelle
