Genetic Testing - All Clear
Finally got results back from genetic testing. Found to have no mutation of the PTEN gene. Told that having had 3 different, unrelated cancers and wide family history of unrelated cancers is just a matter of bad luck. So I won't be buying lotto tickets in the hope of winning it big as it seems I already have - I beat cancer 3 times! Cancer has taken a lot from me but I have found the "New Me" through it all and have come out the other side. I know I am luckier than many others in so many ways and am making the most of what I do have rather than mourn what I may have lost. And I still have so much to look forward to - now 2 years (almost) out from breast cancer, 5 years out from thyroid cancer and 13 years out from brain tumour. Go ME!!! xxx
