The Color Run
Tomorrow I take part in Adelaide's The Color Run - in my case however it will be a Color Walk as having had to undergo an additional cavity shaving last week and then experiencing complications when my chemo port was inserted that resulted in my lung collapsing 15% whereby a drain had to be inserted, I was only released from hospital last Monday (so much for day surgery).
I attended my first Step into Life training session this morning and found that even a shuffle was a bit much so I ended up walking - but still walked 5kms. What really touched me this morning is that three of my training buddies who don't usually do the 6.30am session came out especially to support me. Then I spent a good part of the afternoon having coffee and cake with two of them.
Here is my Color Run kit for tomorrow's race.

Great job Lunanoire,
Have fun at the colour run, I have a bunch of friends from a facebook group I run doing it. Someone posted a pic in the group yesterday "Run if you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must, but just don't quit!"
cheers

Hi enjoy run/walk take joy in that you are there with some friends This year I did the mothers day classic and when I crossed the line it was very emotional as the year before I was having chemo and couldn't have walked. Good luck with your chemox

I also did the Mother's Day Classic this year as my first official fun run prior to be being diagnosed and intend to do it as often as I can from now on

I went with a friend and we did end up walking a large part of it because it was hot and well, this time last week I was in hospital with a collapsed lung and a chest drain. But I am so pleased with myself.

Hi lunanoire, my niece did the colour run and had an awesome day. She said that the atmosphere is electric and the fellowship with other participants is lovely. Good on you getting in there and active, especially after your recent treatment. Have a lovely day, Trace ????????

Glad you did it. My profile pic is when I did it in Cairns a couple of years ago. It was lots of fun. Run/walk, whatever you can do is great.
