Not benifical for the site
I apologise to all newcomers who have to read one or two blogs that have become negative between I and another. I have decided that this site should only ever be positive and have decided to say good-bye as I know it is not going to stop. Having had brain surgery just over 2 weeks ago I find I must only receive positive input and although 99% of you lovely pink ladies are just that and will miss you all the remaining 1% is like a bad apple at the bottom of the barrel.
Good luck pink sisters and cyber hugs
Over and out

I don't know if you wanted a reply to your post, but I feel that I can't just let you go like this!!!!! Believe it or not,I was just about to write a new post called" what is a blog?" I have noticed lately, that on more than one occasion, there have been replies to posts that probably cross the line.I say probably, because everyone's perception of what is correct on this network,is obviously different. However, there are a couple of things that I believe strongly that EVERYONE should follow. For me,this online network of beautiful, beautiful ladies, exists so that we might support each other the best way that we can, because of the common link that we have with Breast Cancer. We are all so different, and our cancers are also different.NOT ONE is the same!!! So with this in mind, this blog is for general support, compassion, someone to LISTEN to us when we need it.When advice is asked for,I feel that IF we have direct experience or knowledge pertaining to the particular question, then we should answer. But I feel that for the most part, our support should be mainly offered as 'a shoulder to lean on'.Even if I was a doctor,I would not offer advice on anyone's particular Cancer diagnosis on this blog.It would not be correct to do so,and we should all remember that NONE of us are in a position to offer medical advice or otherwise.ONLY our doctors should do this!! Yes we have Dr.Google, and if we want to use it,then that is up to us,but what we find on there ,we should not be posting on here as facts and figures to other ladies. So much of what you read online is rubbish, and that is why we have places like BCNA,Cancer Council etc.to use as places where we can find the latest and most up to date CORRECT information.Lets remember ladies, that because of the nature of BC,some of us are not in a good place, physically or emotionally, and the rest of us ,if we don't rememebr the rules of the blog, could do these ladies more harm than good.I hope that I am not talking out of turn in any way,but this blog is VERY important to me,and I feel that every once in a while,it doesn't hurt us to remind each other just WHY we came here in the first place.Cheers xoxoRobyn0

Robyn, you are so right. We are here in a peer support role and not a professional one.It is not ethical for any of us to give medical or mental health advice to others at this network. We can only share our own experience of bc and how we feel. This may be quite different to another person's experience. As for statistics,my bc has never conformed to them.Stats are best left to the specialists and even they can't always predict.I think it's good to question our treatments but this doesn't mean we won't follow through.Having discussions at this network can help us ask the necessary questions at our specialist appointments. After that,we can then make informed/confident decisions for ourselves. I've been a registered nurse for almost 40 years and have a lot of medical and counselling experience. But when I log onto this network,I'm a bc survivor,a pink sister offering friendship and support.Tonya xx0
