Wait and see

Do not worry, wait and see. That is what I told myself when I found a lump in my breast. My Doctor confirmed that it was indeed a lump and sent me to see a surgeon, do not worry, wait and see. After my mammogram and Ultrasound I had a fine needle asp of the lump and a odd shaped lymph gland, I could not have a core biopsy as I am taking blood thinners so I had to wait 24 hrs for the results but do not worry. Both came back positive. Then off for staging tests, do not worry wait and see. Today I go back to the surgeon. I am not to worry I will wait and see

  • My staging tests were all good reports no other cancer was found. So I am to have a Breast-Conserving surgery for my lump and Axillary Dissection for my lymph glands, followed by radiotherapy. I asked if I would have to have chemotherapy the answer we will have to Wait and See.

Thankyou Robyn and Tanya for your support. Sandy x

  • Once you're on the bc ride there is a lot of"wait and see". My mantra is 'prepare for the worst but hope for the best" I'm sorry you have a bc diagnosis but welcome to this wonderful network where we all support each other.Let us know how your appointment went today.Tonya xx
  • As hard as it is, it is always best to wait and see,or just one day at a time. There is no point in jumping ahead, and I can clearly see this now after having finished treatment about a year ago.Be guided by your doctor, and come on this blog for all the day to day stuff that you will need support for.Stay in touch .Cheers xoxRobyn
