@emmat You are just as deserving of councelling and support as anyone else.Just as someone often feels 'not in the club' when they are 'only' stage 1.Nope. Everyone needs aftercare and lots. But we ar ethe captians of our boat and have to drive it. Just because you're a nurse does not remove any of the shock of cancer diagnosis and treatments. There is no 'lesser'. Please do seek councelling, please do go to your follow up appointments, seek a rehab program and participate , support group, super important to get into a lymphoedema screening & prevention program now, physio therapy, look good feel better, and more. Its really really important that you do. It will speed up your healing and improve your long term health by ealry intervention. You would rouse at a patient for not doing thier after care- so now its time to follow through. You are smart. You are worthy . You are important .You are not alone. There must also be face to face support groups in Qld.i know there is a sunshine coast one, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100022283514942, Blush Cancer Care is toowoomba, Mater Chicks in Pink ?,... if your near one of the Tracey G Lingerie stores - they would proabably know, ask your local breast care nurse- you can find them on the McGrath website by postcode.
I saw Mez request to move Emma post, but i posted here , hoping she will see it before it goes offline on 19th -27th march.
