I had surgery yesterday with wide lobal excision and sentinal node biopsy. No nodes removed. I am home in less than 24hrs. The amount removed was the size of an orange. Full results next week. Doing well feeling strong but weary. Just the next waiting game for the full results. Need to keep myself positive. I am in awe of all the beautiful women who have gone through this before me.

I just retired and I had a retirement trip planned which has now been cancelled because of covid. During the March/April 2020 lockdown I was diagnosed with BC. My cancer was 2cm in the right breast. No lymph but grade 3. I have had 5 melanoma too and heaps of abnormal moles removed. There is a link with melanoma and breast cancer. In July 2023 an mri found bone mets in my thoracic spine. Since then I have confirmed liver mets too and currently getting mri to check new bone mets. I am currently being treated for this metastasis with oral chemo
WHEN I GET MY WINGS AND PASS ON, I WANT BCNA TO PLACE A SPECIAL MOTIF OR SYMBOL ON MY PROFILE SO MEMBERS KNOW I HAVE PASSED. MY FAMILY WILL CONTACT BCNA TO ADVISE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.Member
