Look Good, Feel Better program available to ALL with Breast Cancer - check it out!
Earlier this year, I attended a Look Good Feel Better session - and altho I am not a 'girlie girl' (ie I rarely wear makeup of any sort!) I was amazed at just how much fun it was - and I learned that I CAN 'pretty up' if I want to! Many of us here (particularly newly diagnosed) may not have heard of the program - it is often run by locals (particularly in rural/regional areas) ... They also show/demonstrate different head gear that can be worn during chemo - different styles of turbans & scarves that can give you a 'lift' and make you look & feel better, being out in public. Some wonderful Aussie makeup companies (well known brands) may contribute to a 'goodies bag' to take home, so that you can continue playing around with it as you go thru your treatment. Jump onto this site & if you would like to give it a go - do so!! You won't regret it! https://lgfb.org.au/support-us/our-events/feel-better-month/ take care & all the best with your ongoing treatment ...91Views1like0CommentsAny support groups in Melbourne?
Morning all. Went to a Look Good Feel Great workshop on Monday. I loved it, the presenters were beautiful , I totally recommend it. It was so lovely to meet wth other cancer survivors. For me , that was probably the best thing , meeting people who just get it. Made me wonder if there are any groups in Melbourne I don’t know about! Anyone know any?101Views0likes3CommentsLook good Feel good
Just finished the wonderful Look good Feel good course here in Adelaide of skincare , makeup and wigs/headgear.Not only were the volunteers who ran it lovely people it was good to be with other ladies undergoing treatment for cancer. The course is offered across Australia and sponsored by major cosmetic companies who provide each participant with a goodies bag customised to the individual.I recommend a look on their website as a nice way to have a bit of a boost to your morale.221Views0likes12CommentsLook good feel better workshops
Has anyone done one of these? I’m contemplating going to one and want to know if you got any benefit from it and if so what? My worry is Im due back at work soon and I just don’t want to look like crap every day. Most of my clients know I’ve been on long term sick leave and a few even know exactly what for.112Views0likes6Comments
