Chronic fatigue on Tamoxifen
Hi all, l am a year out from finishing chemo and almost a year after a double mastectomy. I am still experiencing chronic fatigue and am now certain it's from Tamoxifen, as l have changed the time of day, l am taking it and the fatigue has moved from the afternoon to morning. I am considering changing it to the morning and maybe the fatigue will be while l am sleeping. Has anyone experienced this and have any advice? I would really appreciate it, l want to improve my quality of life!!!314Views0likes3CommentsPain after breast cancer

I have completed my Doxorubicin and Cyclophasphamide (8 weeks of fortnightly treatment) and after the last "top up" i was super fatigued, could only last 2 hrs before eyesight goes and i have to lye down. They said this was normal after the last one and it will go away .... it has been 4 weeks now and no change. I have Hashimotos ( underactive thyroid ) so i was wondering if anyone else has not recovered with their fatigue or has anyone else also got hashimotos and what effect did the chemo have on your medds Thanks51Views0likes2CommentsMemory
For some as a result of diagnosis and treatment the effect on our memory can be distressing - fatigue or chemo induced or anything else in between, stress, anxiety, menopause! I have a sister who has early onset Dementia and on the road to diagnosis she was seen by a health professional, Neuro Psychologist. She has written a book and there's a precis of it here that some may find interesting or useful to someone you know Memory-wise - Dr Anne Unkenstein -- Allen & Unwin - 9781760296384 - Allen & Unwin - Australia (allenandunwin.com) Best wishes to all111Views5likes2Commentsanother delay, sad and mad and very disappointed
Hi, I've had a disappointing week and I thought I would drop in with all you wonderful people and unload (sorry it feels like going down not up lately) I'm about 4 weeks into my 2nd time round, I had the lumpectomy in 2020 and now I'm ready for double mastectomy and not considering reconstruction. Had surgery booked for Friday 1st and I had a recent UTI but Thursday afternoon had the details and what was required then an hour later it was cancelled , I was so broken about that for a couple of days and just started to settle and now I am covid positive. When the test showed positive I just shut down don't really feel anything. I'm lost at the moment wondering what's next.. thank you all for being here, for your time and thoughts!!171Views0likes6CommentsTired after Paclitaxel Chemo completed. ( EC prior)
After getting through all of my Chemo quite well. I find myself more tired than during most of the Chemo. The tiredness started during a last two weeks of Chemo. I was told it could be an accumulative effect of the Chemo. Has anyone else become more tired at the end? I probably need to get fit. But my thighs don't have much strength, and my knees are weak too. Has anyone done rehabilitation after Chemo?141Views0likes14CommentsLast ac cancelled

Just about passed out in oncologist's surgery, he is quite worried about me. my body cannot handle any more of this ac so hoping the 3 I have had will do the job !!!!!!Have to see him again this week to see when I am going to start the 12 x weekly palax ones. Has anybody else had this happen. I am sooooo exhausted and sick lucky for me I have a great husband who is doing everything for me. Even to have a shower is awful. Hoping things do improve.101Views0likes10CommentsStruggling with fatigue
Hello all I was diagnosed in March with Stage 2 invasive carcinoma, mastectomy in April with 2 lymph nodes positive. Hormone and Her-2 positive. I completed my 4 rounds of A/C and now have started on Pacliaxel and Herceptin. My reason for posting is the extreme fatigue. I’m battling guilt watching my husband trying to cope with work and looking after everything. Is this normal experiencing fatigue on Paclitaxel? Will it ease when I’ve finished the 12 doses? Has anyone found help going to speak to a councillor? Thanks for any advice81Views0likes6CommentsPost-Treatment Fatigue
Gosh I am having a whammy of a fatigue day. I don't get them very often. Today I feel utterly wrecked. My body feels like lead and I just want to crawl into bed and sleep. Which I won't do because then I'll be awake all night. I've had a long lie in and a slow and gentle start. What's the best thing to do now? Should I try to power through, go for a brisk walk and get on with the housework? Or is it best to have an easy day? I genuinely don't know what the strategy should be for these days and would love to hear what the hive mind suggests! K <3301Views0likes24CommentsThank you
Hi to all! Of late I have found myself in a tangle with users of the forum that have an angry ant attitude. I get it totally that the diagnosis that is given is totally unexpected and hard to take and need to hit out but there's a right and wrong way to go about it. It is totally unfair and I have become a little tired and jaded by it all and feel I need to bow out for awhile. Thank you to all that have supported me and I know I have tried to impart knowledge and sensibility to others in return. On a positive note I have just been through my review with the Breast Surgeon and gone back onto annual reviews after my recent hiccup so I am over the moon about that. I just need the Oncology part of it all to settle, both medical and gynaecology and I will be more than pleased. Take care and please support where you can and if you're unhappy with something said then think about it before responding as we are all vulnerable at varying times and support BCNA with advocacy where you can bye361Views5likes17Comments
