Re: Changing from letrozole to tamoxifen
Hi @Halla Just saw this, I know it’s a bit late but can relate! I was on letrozole for only a few months….had terrible aches and pains. Really impacted my quality of life. Have changed to tamoxifen and have been on it a couple of years now. I have found it to be much easier to take, with virtually no side effects. Big phew! Caz x

@Molly71 Oh yeah, scanxiety is definitely a thing. :( I remember it’s been a strange feeling being at the end of treatment and feeling like you are on your own. It gives you time to look at your life which is totally changed. It’s very strange. It’s early days for you, things will settle . It’s great that you have got back into a health routine with yoga etc. Keep going! Just take things one day at a time, and if that is hard, one hour at a time. Sending hugs Caz x

I have an Amoena prosthesis too. Use it a lot! My little swimming buddy! I have an Amoena tankini top and bikini top and I mix and match the bottoms. Also a pretty Jantzen one piece for the surf and doing laps. Google “ mastectomy swimwear”. good luck x

Letrozole made me feel rotten. Have been taking Tamoxifen since new year and it is much better. Caz x

@carolr I’m so sorry it was so tough. Some of my family really suck too. ( hubby and kids are fine, everyone else self absorbed) So I have made my own family from good friends who give a damn about me and me about them too. Saves me from a lot of grief and disappointment. hugz Caz xxxxxx

Hi @D2Dizzy Absolutely. Had exactly the same feeling to run away. Mine happened when I was in the chemo chair. My body was saying ‘get outta here!’ It was such a primal urge from deep inside me. This is a late reply I know but you are not alone there! I’m kinda proud of how strong I was to resist the urge. Chemo was tough. If I ever have to have it again I will get somebody to stay with me and hold my hand. hugz Caz x
