🤝When you need an extra helping hand...

Our community knows all too well that when you are living with cancer, your day can turn out completely different to what you had expected, with changing energy levels and support needs. Sometimes, the hardest moments don’t arrive neatly between business hours.

When things feel overwhelming, confusing, or simply too heavy to carry on your own, reaching out can make all the difference. Support doesn’t fix everything, but it can help you feel less alone, more grounded, and better able to take the next step.

Our Helpline is here for you on 1800 500 258, available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (Melbourne time). Whether you’re looking for information, reassurance, a place to talk things through, or help navigating what comes next, our team is ready to listen and support you with care and understanding. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan, just come as you are.

That said, we know worries, fears, and difficult thoughts don’t always wait for weekdays. Nights can be long. Weekends can feel quiet. And sometimes the need to talk to someone comes at a moment you didn’t expect.

If you find yourself needing support outside Helpline hours, there are trusted services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • Lifeline: 13 11 14
  • Beyond Blue: 1300 22 4636
  • 13YARN: 13 92 76 (for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; available throughout the day)
