That is very helpful, I am wondering if there are any teachers or teacher aides out there that have been able to work during treatment? I am about to find out in a couple of weeks if I can cope with going back to primary school whilst taking anti cancer drugs.

Many people have successfully continued working during treatment, although everyone's experience is different. One thing that's worth keeping in mind is fatigue, as it can be unpredictable and can have a bigger impact when you're working with children all day as a primary school teacher.
It might help to have an open conversation with your doctor and school about what level of work feels realistic for your situation, and if you do decide to return, your workplace may be able to offer support such as reduced hours, modified duties, or a gradual return-to-work plan. Be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time. Wishing you all the best as you work out what feels right for you. đź’•
