When is it time to say enough is enough

Has anyone out there had to make the decision to remove implants and stop following the path of revision after revision.? After 9 months and 7 surgeries I want to have my implants removed and return to the double mastectomy position. I had immediate reconstruction which looked good but never felt quite right. Implants always uncomfortable and often down right painful when one in particularly moved a lot. Non healing skin was a problem with one side as I had had radiation 12 years ago after first encounter with bc. I am still very restricted in what I feel comfortable doing and as I was only tiny breasted before am happy to go flat. Husband and kids very supportive but surgeon keen to give it one more try. I know it is finally my decision but there is this niggling doubt about giving up. Any advice would be great. Sue
