Take your time if you don't have very strong feelings either way. There are considerations about time off work and re-entering the whole surgery circus again at a later date, but if there is no pressing reason to decide now, take your time.
I felt pressured to get everything out of the way as quickly as possible--I was on contract at work and was a single Mum who was struggling with child care issues. Even after deliberating and researching hard during my chemo I made a decision that I now regret.
I might add, that was ten years ago (I've now got a recurrence) and I was dealing with having to travel 350km each way to see a plastic and breast surgeon. The logistics of deferring reconstruction were just too daunting. There also was no way for me to discuss my reservations with a larger group--something like this site, which I wish had been available when I needed it.
