Warm breast

I'm 4&1/2 years out from completion of radiotherapy and my treated breast is still warmer than the other at times.  At 3 months my breast was definitely warmer. 
Any signs of redness or infection? That would be more likely to cause a sudden onset of pain but if you're concerned I would suggest talking to a breast care nurse  or your GP to start with

Hi @Kaye66 I’m the same as @Irb_03, radiation after early breast cancer in 2015. My breast is often warmer, sometimes hot, always harder and firmer, ( reminds me of a painful premenstrual breast): it hasn’t aged like my non cancer breast ie- hasn’t dropped or sagged, so now I have two very different breasts. You are right it is a scary unknown journey. There are some wonderful women on here who are just that further along and will have wonderful words of advice and encouragement , well  done for asking :) janineg x

Hi @Kaye66. My boob was warmer for a while and had sharp nerve pains on and off for a few months. Found out why when I looked in the mirror one day and saw said boob had shrunk and the nipple was a good inch higher than the other one. It was obviously a huge effort to haul it into position! 😂 Four months on I now get the odd protest but mostly itching around the scar. Still all the side effects are a small price to pay I think. 😘
