I felt a lump on 9th Aug 2014, diagnsis of cancer on 19th Aug, 1st clinic assessment 1st Sept, double mastectomy 22nd Sept......all seems an awfully long time to have those nasty little cancer critte...

I am ok about losing my breasts, it was my choice and I don't need them. No more backaches, no more underwire digging in....I also do not have a partner and I have known for 2 years now that I don't want one. I think i am very lucky. At 49 I have 2 adult children who are awesome. I have a very supportive boss and can work from home if need be. I am in a much better position to deal with this than most others. I shall win too :) xxxx
