I know what you mean, I only had to wait a couple of weeks between seeing my surgeon and then having surgery. But once I was diagnosed, I just wanted the cancer out of my body as fast as possible. I can tell you that a week or two or three won't make a big difference in the end. That's probably not much comfort right now! Do try and stay busy as that will help the time pass. Once you have surgery, everything else becomes pretty much a whirlwind so if you can put yourself in a quiet space, it's good to enjoy this time while you wait. Things will speed up before you know it and you can feel completely out of control. The two things you can control are your head and your heart.
