Update
Hi girls
Just a quick update of where I am at with the breast lymphodeama...........It has been an ongoing saga since Xmas with the recent all clear that it wasn't Inflammatory BC......
I have been staying in Perth lately supporting my sister whose husband had a terrible stroke and he is in Swan Districts hospital stroke ward which is just around the corner from the lil unit hubby and I brought at the beginning of the year.
Anyway I did a flying visit back home 400klms north to check house and garden etc. and while I was there I got to see the physiotherapist that has been working with me previously on my problem but not seen her since April. She said my breast had got worse. I then also had an appt with my GP who took one look at the breast and got on the phone straight away to the breast centre where I had my surgery and got me an urgent appt with surgeon of who I saw Tuesday just gone and they also agree mmmmmmmm not quite right. They in turn got me in for ultrasound for yesterday. I am thinking here we go again another ultrasound but they decided to throw 1 fine needle aspiration followedby 3 separate core biopsies in to the major scar tissue from the surgery. Needless to say 1 1/2 hours later after laying on my side and my bad arm stretched above my head and just a few lil puncture holes I was sent home to wait for results next week. I go back to see the Surgeon the day before I fly to Sydney for the Summit. They have also been talking about skin punches which are like core biopsies only bigger and also an MRI ......
I know it can't be the big C as I have had a pet scan to say I am all clear? mmmm can it?? I am sure it isn't and they are just checking out the extent of the scar tissue which is huge and seems to be growing which is making it hard for the fluid to disperse and that is why my breast lymphodeama continues to worsen instead of get better. That is my reasoning anyway but I am no doctor and will wait till next week so my assumptions don't become wrong and another shock comes my way.
I am soooooo looking forward to Sydney. Roll on next week.

Thinking of you, and hoping your tests were clear - you must be due for the results any day now.

- Hey Mich That's pants you have to go through even more tests. Its really good they are being so thorough though. Sending you some positive ju ju. :) I already have a name for my skanky left breast, Bullseye! My surgeon performed a relatively new technique where he removed the the lump (which was located 11 o'clock and about 7cm above my nipple) by making the incision round the nipple as opposed to going to the direct location of the lump. The pros of this is that also allowed him to remove the lump along with some suspicious tissue that appeared on my MRI scan. My scar therefore is a perfect circle round my nipple. Hence the name Bullseye also the name of evil Bill Sykes dog in Oliver Twist. Sorry I know that's a pretty long winded explanation but you get the jist. Keeping everything crossed for you Hun. Xxx
Thanks luvly, yep gotta stay positive I say. Yep, I love it when you sit there on a hospital bed with every Tom Dick and Harry starts oogling at your poor old boob. I have got to the stage now where I am happy to flash it to anyone that asks cause maybe they have the answers I am looking for. I just say yep go for it cause at the end of the day it isn't my boob anymore it is just some lil alien who sits on my chest hee hee ahahahaha. I am going to have to come up with a name for him (gotta be a him cause a female wouldn't give me such a hard time).
Looking forward to whooping it up with you girlfriend.

Thanks gorgeous your posts are always full of humour and uplifting which are wonderful for us all. Shame I can't let it all hang out at the Summit. I will do my best to refrain myself. I am sure we will have a smile a mile wide when we get to see each other. I am also glad to hear your all good!!!!!!!. You are right in that our life is now about checking and rechecking which is a good thing.and I am so glad my surgeon is finally on to it now. I can thank my wonderful GP for that.
i will catch you soon with that mile wide smile and we can have a laugh face to face which will be lovely.

- What a bummer that is and how many times can one get the boob out honestly. At least they are not just letting it go and they are on to it, we will whoop it up in sydney to make up for it. I always admire your positive blogs. Hugs to you adean

Thanks heaps Chris for your lovely good wishes. We will keep everything crossed for positive everything. I am very much over it all but really do need to get to the bottom of it all once and for all.
