Today I had a Mastectomy
That subject line is very hard to write and even harder to comprehend that it applies to me. I love my breasts and am not happy that now there is only one.
Anyway, I have had very little pain, in fact the drip injection site is giving me more grief that the mastectomy and aux clearance side!
Morphine on tap. I was very uncomfortable with the thought of morphine as I have never had it before, I was encouraged to use and and am currently pain free. I have used it twice so far.
And I've only cried twice so far!!! I think I am doing really well 😀. Had about one billion hot flushes though...
Take care everyone. Back to my book 'Boots to Bliss' who knows maybe I will take (part of) that walk...morphine talking methinks LOL.

- Looks like the BC Rollercoaster has arrived at my door. Last night I had a temp (38.8), my partner declared that he was taking me to hospital and here I am with an infection on antibiotics sitting in a hospital bed.
Silver lining: this bed is super comfy, the nurses are just wonderful and I just had yummy fresh fuit salad.
Laughing not crying 😀

- Blossom1961Member@kmakm Not sure they are big enough. I need a pair to reach over my head. Much easier to hide that way. 🤗Sign in to react to this post

- Kiwi_AngelMember@kitkatb my first drain removal was not painful just felt weird but the second one was a horror and I still cringe when I think about it. Everyone has different experiences - there are some ladies on here where they have just fallen out. Hopefully your experience is pain free xoSign in to react to this post
