I haven't done this but as only 10% of women having a reconstruction, there must be a lot who do. I know that many find the prostheses heavy ...especially if large breasted. But there are lighter options and even swimming models. If unsure what you should do and what you want you can just have the mastectomy and have the reconstruction later. The breast nurse should be very helpful with the options and costings etc for you. It's hard knowing what is right choice. Kath x
