Sorry to jump in at this late stage in this conversation, but I was wondering if any of you guys had an MRI?
I had two mammograms and biopsies and then when I finally got to the surgeon to make a ‘plan’, she examined me and could feel more outside of what the mammogram had shown. That’s when she sent me for an MRI and the DCIS section was actually 2cm wider than initially thought.
I’m sure this extra step has saved me from at least one additional surgery and I’m hoping for clear margins the first time around. 🤞🏼
