Surprisingly Calm
It's a day after my surgery (tumour removal & sentinal node biopsy). I opted to go ahead and have the surgery as soon as I could. I'm assuming that the sentinal node biopsy must have come back ok, since I don't seem to have had them all removed, I THINK someone (the mcgrath breast care nurse) told me in recovery that it was only one node that they took, but I'm not entirely sure. Apart from being a little sore i'm not feeling too bad. I meet with my surgeon again next week and hope that the results will be back and i'll know where I stand from here and what my next step is and how to move forward.
I'm going with the flow of it all at the moment. I have been surprisingly calm through this whole thing, but i guess everyone deals with it their own way. I've joined a club I never wanted to, but i'm glad that this network is here to support each other and that I can check in every now and then to get other peoples stories and perspectives.
