surgery question
I have no idea what to expect with surgery next week - and I’m quite anxious about the drains that I keep hearing about 🥹 does everyone get drains and how long for?

I had a lumpectomy in April, I also overthought the whole thing. This site is helpul, supportive and reassuring. MY journey continued with a Revision and ultimately a mastectomy to clear cancers found in pathology.
I have a very close frend who is about 9 months ahead of me in her cancer and we support each other. I am not a group joiner preferring to chat with those that know me, also being in rural South Gippsland, travel deters. My breast care nurse is 75 km away, but available by phone (Tues -Thurs ) and this site is excellent.
