Nads I'm so sorry!!! My core biopsy from my first diagnosis 2011 was benign but my surgeon didn't believe it, he said sometimes they just don't hit the exact spot. He put me straight in for a lumpectomy and thank god as it was BC. 2015 a recurrence, I had 2 types of biopsies and ended up after all that having to have a lumpectomy anyway, as this is the only way they can get difinitive pathology for diagnosis. Gosh 5yrs of going through this, for me if ever I'm faced again, I'd go straight for lumpectomy. Big hugs one step at a time! Melinda xx
