Had a call from my surgeon today to advise me that in their discussions today about my surgery they found another lump today on same breast but opposite side from a recent mammograms I had on Monday. Needless to say I'm an emotional wreck at the moment. Rush to have ultrasound then another core biopsy done results tomorrow and then back to doctor Monday. I'm so pissed this was missed in the first scans I had. He has assuredme it looks benign but just want to make sure as it will change my surgery if it is not. Back to square one.

I am so sorry! Not a good thing to have happen. Here's hoping it is all benign. I know it's better to be safe than sorry, but it won't do much for your weekend. Breathe deeply, hope it's all good news next week.

Oh Nads, you must be shattered. Just the emotional turmoil in counting down to surgery day to have it moved is terrible. Strange that it was initially missed but as hard as it is to have to go thru more ultrasounds and biopsies, we have to be so thankful our specialists are conferring and being cautious. Try to have a relaxing weekend and I hope you get good news and the answers you need on Monday. Once your surgery is over this will just be a little blip in your treatment.Just a little longer, you are almost there. Jane x

Sad that it was missed but so good it's been found pre surgery and the right treatment will be given. It will be difficult waiting for results, we all understand that. Kath x

Hi Nadssame thing happened to me original biopsy 1 tumourafter mammogram 3D found 2 more had 2 more biopsies luckily I had a small satellite which were all grade 1 but at 12oclock, 1 and 3 surgery still went ahead and took them all out.. as much as it frustrates and scares us it has to be done as first ultrasound missed my other 2 hold on surgery will soon be over x

feeling good but sore. Dr did a great job just the wait for pathology now. Was good to sleep in my own bed last night.

Nads glad its all done and you are home recuperating!! I was lucky that my Surgeon put me in late one afternoon, I had hook wire, sentinel node dye done and then back to my room fed went to sleep and woke at 6 and in surgery at 7am. Really was great! unfortunately I was more sick from the Anaesthetic and narcotics that I was in hopsital for 3 days, the surgery was fine, worst part for me was the drain LOL, gee that hurt the most! Rest up and let us know when your definitive pathology comes in exactly of your diagnosis. Hugs Melinda xo

Hi Pam. It was a huge day dye at 6.45 hook wire at 10 then hospital at 12. My surgeon had an emergency and instead of 1.30 op it was 5pm....glad it's all over for now. Had a great night sleep in my own bed

my surgery day was the longest day of my life, I had hookwires and dye injected at 9 at a seperate location Once dye hit lymph nodes had to drive to hospital told I'd be in by lunch didn't get done till 5.45! Try and rest the first few days after I was so tired
make sure you do your arm exercises.

Thanks for the update Nads. Great that you are home. Surgery day seems never ending! Hope you are not in too much pain over the next few days and have a quick recovery. It will seem like a long wait for your results but hopefully you will have some positive news and a plan of attack!

Dr finally saw me at 7pm and now tucked up in my own bed. Have to wait till 30th for results because of pub holiday. Very deep incision almost in chest cavity wall. 3 nodes removed so drugs now on board and ready for lalaland

Well surgery went well...didn't get op till5pm instead of
1.30pm yesterday so was not back up in room till 9.pm last night...a wee bit
sore now as you know and just waiting for my doctor to come at 5.30'thenni should be able to go home. Will know more soon on what he did but was very deep incision.
