Surgery Date Set

Hi there I had my lumpectomy and lymph node operation in August 2013 and radiation in October/November that year. My surgeon fast tracked tests and operation that waiting for public radiation was quite difficult.  However I wouldn't change a thing as Peter Mac was great. You do have to heal completely and my scar on breast is invisible but the lymph node was slightly more painful: but also stopped me fro lifting etc for a few weeks. That surprised me I thought it would be more about discomfort from breast.  As for forgetting things: be gentle it is a lot to take on and I was in shock for a good week and then functioning on one level and on a roller coaster emotionally so there's a lot going on!
