Cancer tumours & cells are such sneaky buggers aren't they?!
My most recent breast tumour wasn't detected by mammogram or ultrasound. Specialist even thought the fine needle biopsy looked good & gave me the all clear - until it came back positive. During the lumpectomy surgery everything looked good until the pathology came back with large areas of DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) in the surrounding tissue which means more surgery to remove it. Again none of this showed on the ultrasound. Being B cup I won't much left at this rate!
Glad to hear you're recovering Ok from the breast reduction surgery & all the best with the chemo & radiation :)
