Surgery back on

Results came back from my kidney biopsy that has confirmed I have renal cancer so its a nepthrectomy for me, bugger the delay put me back 3 weeks. The big thing I am taking from this is that its not secondary from my breast cancer but a 2nd primary so that good news.

Oh well these things happen and you have all taught me to go with the flow, so ladies I am not swimming against it but floating along with the tide.

My only problem is that i will be spending my birthday in hospital, bugger...........my daughter told me "mum you have had 55 birthdays this one will just be delayed", she is right.

    How wonderful that you can spend time with your sister.  I have four sisters and we now get together as often as we can.  We all live in different cities from Townsville to Melbourne.  Just keep doing what you are doing - floating in the moment. Best wishes XLeonie

    Thank-you for the lovely messages ladies, I am doing ok.

    As they delayed my surgery to do the biopsy I am getting some quality time with my sister as she came to look after me. We live in different states and don't get loads of time together, so this is a bonus for us, and she is coming back in a couple of weeks when I've finally had the op.

    So sorry to hear your results - it's been up and down like a yo yo for you.One minute you have it then you don't and now you do.It's abit of a double edged sword - lucky the cancer isn't a secondary but unlucky to have another primary one.I have a work mate who had kidney cancer removed many years ago and she is fine,never even needed chemo.She was in her 60's and made a good recovery and came back to work.I know everyone's cancer is different but it's good to hear positive stories.Keep on floating!
