I was diagnosed with triple negative bc in Nov 2012 and am almost at the end of 5 months of chemo. I decided to have my surgery after chemo as this give the oncologist the chance to see if the chemo has worked. I had 10 tumors to start with and also lymph involvement. The good news is that the chemo has shrunk the tumors - the largest was 5cm and is now 7mm and the smaller ones have disappeared.
I will not get out of having a masectomy but it is good to know that the chemo has worked.
Look up the Triple Negative Group on this site their are a lot of other pink sisters like yourself out there. Don't look at the statistics look at others for inspiration.
