Think it may just depend on how much fluid is there as they can take some time to absorb, and if it's bothering you I think it's worth asking the question :-) I had a seroma drained after my mastectomy and although it didn't get it all out what was left did eventually absorb. Similarly after my reconstruction I had a large seroma that swooshed when I moved (bit unnerving!), so it definitely needed draining :-) Hope your appointment goes well and they are able to help you.
