Hard to tell yet whether the fluid will absorb or not. If it continues for another week or so, I would ask your surgeon about the advisability of massage (a good lymphoedema therapist could do this) as you don't want it to linger.
Mine lingered and it was a thorough nuisance. Not painful, but the fluid amount was often large and bulky, and with hindsight led to three infections, the last one serious.
After diagnosis and surgery, minimization of anything else is the name of the game!!
