Scared of Magseed procedure
Hi all, so I need to have Magseed inserted in my breast prior to surgery and I am petrified, as I always am with procedures and needless, etc. I just don't cope well with them.
I was told it's similar to needle biopsy, which I had, but that still doesn't make me feel any better.
Can someone shed some light and help me relieve my anxiety as I am absolutely petrified.
Thank you ❤️

Hello!
I had a magseed inserted in 2024, I also absolutely HATE syringes and especially needle core biopsies of which I've had two!
However I didnt feel the magseed insertion almost at all! I was really scared but the woman how did it was super skilled and it was very quick and relatively pain free! Hope you will have a similar experience! Having a biopsy is way more intensne in my experience, you've got this! x

MazaDj I can relate to not coping well with procedures and needles. I've found that telling medical people that I don't do well with medical things helps - they slow down, make sure I'm breathing, etc.
I hadn't heard of Magseed until now so I've been reading up on it. It seems to be considered to be an improvement on the hookwire that I had on the morning of my surgery. Magseed can be done days before surgery and seems to help reduce time in surgery, improve accuracy and reduce the need for further surgery.
Hopefully someone who has had a Magseed responds to you soon with their personal experience.
This experience shows us that we have super powers we weren't aware of!
