It's a really personal choice so it can be hard to decide. I had a single mastectomy and no reconstruction, never really felt inclined towards it. I wear a prosthesis and find it simple. But others here can talk about bilateral mastectomies and no reconstruction and of course about options for reconstruction. My surgeon always said no rush, it can be done when you want, so my only advice would be to wait till you are quite sure about what you want. Then it's usually right. Best wishes.
