I was a nervous wreck when dropped off for my surgery - a bit weepy too ... but I was fine once 'in my room' and following the surgery later that day - it was as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders xx
Keep yourself as busy as you can in the lead up to going to hospital, doing things you LOVE doing to keep your mind off things!!
Maybe start putting all your bits together to take with you - phone/charger, tablet/charger, even a light cardigan to wear sitting up in bed as they don't crank up the central heating in hospitals ...
Take some Sudoku or other puzzles (as it is almost impossible to read anything like a book with all the goings on in a Hospital - too many interruptions!) and definitely take Ear Plugs and Eye Mask for sleeping! (They are noisy BRIGHT places!) Button up front PJs .... warm slippers ....
You'll be 'right' xx
