Hi,
That sounds pretty awful.
I had a lumpectomy on L breast and some lymph nodes removed and after the drain was removed I had to have the fluid build up removed every two to three days and it was very uncomfortable and I feel for you. It did not leak so I am not much use but talk to the nurse and your surgeon. The sensation is horrible and I am now almost half way through chemotherapy, which is hard at times, mostly due to the fatigue but I can honestly say that the worst part of this journey (physically) has been the lymphatic fluid issues post surgery. It will pass and I wish you well.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It really helps to hear from someone who’s been through something similar. I’m sorry you had to deal with that constant fluid build‑up — it sounds incredibly uncomfortable, especially while you were trying to recover.
Even though my situation is a bit different, it’s reassuring to know that others have found this part of recovery tough too. I’m staying in touch with my nurse and surgeon and hoping things settle down soon.
Wishing you strength as you get through the rest of your treatment and beyond x
