Pictures so far of surgery.

on Friday 15th of August i had my PBM with skin and nipple sparring as well as a breast lift I was a 14 E/F cup before . My surgeon is using the permenant expanders, which contain 35% silicone the rest is expanded using saline. i will not need to have exchange surgery. This is a plus a con is the ports are massive and sit under my breasts on the sides digging into my ribs. i had a 5 day stay in hospital due to nerve pain and problems with my BP dropping too low. i have since developed seromas and necrosis on nipples. fingers crossed they survive. I thought i would begin sharing my photo story as ive been a bit down about it. Its hard to compare to others ive seen. and im very gratefull for the support i have been recieving from you all. its only been just over 2 weeks and im very grateful i do not have any infection at this stage.

left side after waking.

right side after waking 15/8/14

day 1 16/8/14 right side

day 1 left side before nerve pain started.

swelling on day 3 right view. left side nerve pain began.

day 3 nerve pain is on left side under breast. Drains still in x2.

day 7 home fluid is collecting still very swollen had only 40 ml each side at time of surgery the rest is fluid and swelling. 22/8/14

day 10 feeling pretty good pain wise, nerve pain is easing. Still concerned by swelling under arms but other than this feel confident. 25/8/14

Day 13 saw surgeon to remove stiches all looked clean and well except right hand side a hole opened near nipple. fluid began leaking out A LOT!. it turned into a 3 person job catching, mopping and resealing the site. Left side seemed fine. a small ammount of necrosis on both nipples but surgeon seems unconcerned and confident still.

Around 20 mins after seeing surgeon i exploded gushing the above 2 pictures wwere of me sitting at home after the fluid leaked through 3 layers. I could feel it dripping down my side. Surgeon wanted me in after i sent this picture he was unhappy and decided i would be admitted again for anoter GA and have drains put back in as a precaution. 25/8/14

so 2 days later im back home with drains feeling prety sore again. Day 15 30/8/14 seeing surgeon on 4th for drain removal and hope lots of good news.

  • Good that you posted your photos. What a pain with the seroma. Still the little setbacks will pass. They are looking pretty good I think. Hope you are more comfortable soon Juliexx
