Hi Kath, I don't need breast reduction. I am booked for double mastectomy and immediate expander insertion next Friday. The nipple delay procedure is intend to create new circulatory connections from the breast skin to the nipples and alveolar complex. The procedure can potentially helps the nipples survive from the subsequent nipple sparing mastectomy. The plastic surgeon will also take biopsy from the nipples to see if any cancerous cells to determine if I can keep my nipples.

Are you have a breast reduction plan in your surgery. Just wondering if this is repositioning the nipple prior the double mastectomy and tissue expansion insertion? I had a bilateral skin sparing immediate delay reconstruction but without saving nipples due to cancer location.
