Hi Adrianne, at 52 I was diagnosed with a grade 3 invasive ductal cancer of the right breast. This was 21mm with no nodes involved ( 10 removed ). That was 2.5 years ago and I have completed chemo, bilateral mastectomy, and now reconstruction, and am currently on Femara due to it being ER+ and PR+. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and I am doing really well. This is an awful time for you, but ask lots of questions, and read lots of info. I too can recommend the book that Mich read by Professor Boyages. It is written in a very easy format to follow with lots of analogies that make sense. If possible try and take someone with you to your appointments. Having a second set of ears, and a note pad and pen is really helpful. When you are still shell shocked, it is hard to remember everything that is said. Good luck with your appointments today, and please know that you can come on here and ask anything at all. We are all here to support each other. Love Chris xx
