Mepitel film
Has anyone used Mepitel film during radiation?
There is lots of info stating that it reduces burns but I'd like some first-hand experience please.

- kmakmMember@Vangirl Yes, coming in to heat from cold can give me a hot flush too. I just can't bear thinking about it anymore. I just have to plod on. It's all so exhausting.
- VangirlMember@kmakm I hear you. I tend to break into a flop sweat when coming into the warm from the cold (like into a shop from the street), whereas in summer you tend to step inside and get a delicious blast of aircon, which I'm hoping will be better.
To be fair, last summer I was still enjoying the miracle of oestrogen via the Pill, so this is all theoretical! - kmakmMember@Vangirl I'm torn between wanting warmth for my bones & sun for my mood, and dreading the heat with my hot flushes.
- VangirlMember@kmakm I wish winter would go away, at least I could look a bit less conspicuous as I publically disrobe in layers leaving a trail of sweat droplets in my wake!
- kmakmMemberWell done @Sister. Hooray! And any minute now the weather will get warmer and everthing will feel just that little bit better. K xox
- SisterMemberAs of today, I am 2/3 of the way through radiation using mepitel. It seems to be going okay. Just a little pinkness near the collarbone. Yesterday, they stopped using the bolus - I'm not sure if this means that there is less likely to be more skin damage over the rest of the treatment.
- kmakmMember@Eastmum Or this one?
- Lmc1310MemberI used it with great success. Nurse changed it once a week. So glad I had it and hope it works for you too.
- JoeyLizMemberMepitel is a great new product. We usually pop on a test area first as some people are allergic to it. It isn’t suitable for larger breasted ladies but I would definitely give it a go. The edges may need patching from time to time.
- smokie08MemberI used it had to get it replaced every week as came off under the arm was the worst but it did help skin was still a bit pink but is getting better now just itching a bit take care
